I can dig the casual thing, but I've never been scared to walk into an away stadium for any sport, wearing my team colors. Black Adidas track jackets is something I would be def down to wear.

Casual is also a style. It's about different brands. It's about what's cool. Urban, and stylish. Brooks brothers with white Air Force ones, black Fred Perry buttoned up to the brim jeans and tims.

Lads, I've read some cringeworthy things in my time but this takes the biscuit.

I anticipate of floodgate of poo for this idea but I'll put it out there anyways.
The gist is we don't want to be yuppies sporting nycfc kits and colors at our away games. We also don't want to be cookie cutter hooligans. I'd like to think we want to make a statement without being extremely obvious.
What if we all wear black shirts (decent polos) and black hats to away games. Nothing really to do with our team but still we would always be recognized as a mass of black without glaring logos. Our team on the pitch would recognize us as well. We could get fancy and get our logos stitched to the shirts too.

WITH THAT BEING SAID....I'm all about wearing brooks brothers and tims to matches, it's casual, and it's urban, it's New York.

I feel like that style is pretty common in most countries outside the US. I know for a fact that in Korea we wear fitted polos/Adidas/neck collard jackets etc.
That being said, I don't know if being casual warrants having a casual uniform. I plan on dressing the way I normally dress..casually

There are certain things we can emulate from the supporter culture from across the pond, but for pro soccer to continue to grow and flourish in the US, we have to make it our own.

Here is my two cents; in other threads we talk about how we don't want to be mini mcfc. Then over here everyone's ready to cheer like the English, and dress like the English. Last time I checked and I mean this with all due respect to those across the pond. We declared our independence on this day to NOT BE FUCKIN ENGLISH. I will have my colors on proudly that's what WE do. I will not say in one breath let's not be mini mcfc and then in the next become a cookie cutter fan. Is there some good ideas yes sure the no cappo no drums I like. But thats the extent of it.
I thought this had to do with those BS scarves that dude was talking about when Tiger started the Savile Rogue thread. I have no idea what this means but whatever makes you happy! Just be loud!
