Balotelli To Orlando City??

I can't ever imagine Mario going to Orlando. I know Orlando wants to drop some cash, but to pay his transfer fee plus the sum he'd want seems unlikely even before we get to the question of: why on God's green earth would Mario Balotelli want to go to Orlando? Only reason is if Mario thinks getting away from the spotlight might allow him to rehab his image, but that's never seemed to be something he cared too much about.

I think the problem with Balotelli is that he doesn't really have any place else to go. He is worth more to Orlando than he is to most other clubs. He isn't actually that good of a player and his personal Pr is better than anything he can do on the pitch. He can't go back to Italy. He isn't cutting it in the Premier League. What teams in Spain would want him that he would actually play for? Same question for Germany. Aside from a big pay day in the Middle East or China somewhere I honestly can't see him going anywhere else than the MLS, as crazy as that sounds.
 
Yet again the MLS gets used by a player and his agent as a bargaining chip.
I'm not buying this.

Totally different. His relationship with Kaka is a big brother/little brother thing. Sounds like he is lost without Kaka on and off the field.
 
His current market value is 15 mill. € so I don't see Orlando paying a huge amount for a transfer fee

But based on what? He hasn't been performing as a 15 million € player. He will have to lower his asking price or he won't be able to find a place to play.

Turkey is a good option for players like Balotelli, in particular Galatasaray or Fenerbache. Good location, Champions League most seasons and Turkey has a very low tax rate.
