How good was that???

The rain was nice and refreshing - seemed odd that they stopped it for 20-odd minutes and just restarted when the weather was exactly the same.

The reserves showed up well - Martinez was solid, Taylor did ok and did well to grab a goal.

We shifted back to section 213 after the restart to shelter from the rain and it was like a graveyard over there! So quiet, we could hear ourselves whisper at one point. Tried to get a few chants going to no avail, but the wave was good!

Overall, a great day out, delighted Fat Frank got the hat trick, he's starting to look like the player we pay 6 million bucks a year to get!

Pretty thorough destruction. Three great goals by Frank. Mac played awesome. Martinez made Vieira's lineups look pretty bad for the past month.

Weird game by Colorado, looked totally disinterested. Didn't pressure us at all.

That was a totally unexpected three points, stoked.

I liked that a lot. Fantastic show of depth. It was our most composed start all year long. No early minute mistakes. I think everybody played well. Mena and Brillant were solid and I like the look of Chanot. Colorado did nothing all match and I actually think that they were not comfortable with the width of the pitch combined with the midfield work we were doing. Tim Howard was knocked off his EPL Prima Donna podium and I want to watch his reaction on the tv when I get home, especially the TMac confrontation.
Onward and upwards.

Not sure how well-informed the fans at the stadium were, but the match was stopped because of lightning in the area, not because of the rain. Once the lightning cleared, game was back on.
Not sure if the rest of the world does that, most of Europe is off during the typical thunderstorm season. MLS started doing this over the last couple years I think. A fan was actually killed in Columbus a couple years ago, albeit in the parking lot, from a lightning strike.

that makes sense. I didn't see any lightning, but saw there were forecasts for storms.
