Hi guys, Ive been following NYCFC from the UK since the first announcements of the team and have been watching all the games we get on UK channels (usually every other game is Live over here atm, The MLS is pretty well advertised and 2 or 3 MLS games a week come on TV)

Me and my Girlfriend are coming to your wonderful city for the first time and have already bought tickets to the Orlando Game and Impact Game - Im so looking forward to it and cannot wait to come over, What I would like to know is what happens on game days ?

I want to soak up as much atmosphere as possible and go to the right places (In the UK we have bars where fans meet before and after the game for a sing song and a few beers)

Any advice on where to go and what to see on game days would be great ?

Cheers guys : )

Andrew

There are bars across the street from the stadium. The supporters groups meet there, different ones at different bars. Worth hopping around if you have time.

Hey Andrew. Mick here from Ryans Daughter. Can't wait to have you come to New York and have you along to a couple of matches. Do me a favour mate and definately give me a call when you get here. I normally meet a few mates before heading up to the home matches. The bar isn't by the stadium but we are a fifteen minute subway ride away. I'd love to meet up with you I game day. Bring you to a few bars up by the stadium too like Dan suggested. Plus we get a lot of people that come back to the bar after home matches from the club. Looking forward to meeting you and your girlfriend. Mick.

Hey Mick, Sounds great! I am staying in Manhattan and have just looked Ryans Daughter up and we are a short cab ride from you! Sounds great really appreciate your hospitality we will definitely drop in! If the Kick off is at 2pm ( i think its the same for both Orlando and Montreal ) what time do you meet and what time do you head off to the game ?

Thanks to everyone for your help too! Cant wait to get my shirts and have a beer at the Game ! : )
Given that you're probably accustomed to only being able to drink a beer under the stands, you might also appreciate the fact that we have vendors who bring food and beer to your seat. It's glorious. Just make sure to have a few greenbacks since those vendors don't accept cards.

Also, it's customary to give the guy an extra buck or two. Not required, but sort of expected.

Hey Andrew. I like to normally meet at the bar about 3 hour's beforehand then head up about 2 hour's before kickoff to hit a couple of other bars up there before heading into the stadium.
