He played a lot of Midfield, so he has the ability to play in the middle and as a winger on the left. Their projecting him to the be leftback of the future. Not bad having depth at left-mid/wing if things get thin.

Nice draft pick. I would have probably done something else, but Kreis and Reyna know what they are doing.
 
I think Brandt's immediate future relies heavily on how Josh Williams performs. I put Connor third on the depth chart, but I also think that Kreis sees him as the next Chris Wingert, a steady left back, game in game out. I think that's why he was drafted. Wingert is 32 and plays lots of minutes, there needs to be a plan B.

There is a plan. Play Williams and Brovsky out wide as fullbacks, have Wingert be a backup. Thats what you do with a 32 year old. Wingert and Brovsky play left, Williams is primarily a right back.

Is that a current picture? Dude in the picture looks like he's 40.
 
Not sure if this has been brought up elsewhere, but it looks like they got a little more specific on the Connor Brandt injury. For a while it just said "core."

That should be the IR if he's out for the season....

The poor kid has had the worst luck with his sports hernia - and to think the surgery for the most part has become so streamlined and simple over the last decade (I had it done 8 years ago), and yet he's had it performed multiple times with seemingly no success. I hope this isn't an indication that he needs additional surgeries to fix the situation, and rather they're just shutting him down completely to focus on an extended rehab done at a gradual pace....
