Sorta the 6-hole but leaning leftish? We see a lot of players roll through there at different points. Maxi drops there, Ring hangs there, Parks just recently, Ofori. Sands sometimes. Callens.
This could be the opposition attacking Sweat and/or the space vacated by Sweat, requiring us to do a lot of ball-winning on the left rear side in general.

I would posit it has to do with the tactics of overloading the left side with bodies which allows lots of crosses to a fairly open Tinny bombing forward. Dating back to PV, the team has typically favored one side to overload.I guess here is as good a place as any to talk about this:

Yeah I've been musing on this on and off all year. At first I thought it was Chanot vs Callens distribution ability. Right now I'm thinking it's about where Maxi tends to drop in when running towards his own goal to pick up the ball. There's nobody else on our team right now who does that anywhere near as effectively. Now if we could pick up another Maxi-like / David-Silva-like player to do that on the other side we'll be cooking with fire (this Christiansen fella maybe? Keaton?).

Can't say I'm stunned at the revelation that he would leave us to work with Pep again, or take a manager's job in Spain (it's true, after all). But it is SLIGHTLY weird for him to just openly admit it, I guess.
Biggest takeaway from me there is that he admits the language barrier was tough early on. Confirms what others have been reporting - how is he supposed to convey extremely convoluted tactics to players if he can't communicate well enough? Also interesting that he seems to be calling for an end to inter-conference play.
He mentions fans going for drinks together after the derby.....if anyone here is actually doing that, stay the hell away from me, I don't want that negativity in my life.

Haha I have a few RB supporting friends.
There was also an epic after-game drinking session at Stan's after one of our derby losses to the RB. Opposing sets of fans chanting at one another aggressively, all of a sudden the bartender puts Bohemian Rhapsody on and everybody's laughing and singing together.

With the win over Vancouver, Domé Torrent has raised his PPG as NYCFC coach above that of Patrick Vieira. Vieira coached roughly 2.5 seasons (83 games) and earned 139 points for 1.675 PPG. Torrent stumbled severely after 5 wins in his first 6 games, and through the first 6 games this year, he had 33 points in 25 games for 1.320 PPG. Since then the team is 14-4-3 (2.143 PPG) and his overall record is 22-12-12 for 1.696 PG.
This doesn't prove who is a better coach. Nor is it certain that Torrent's record will remain above Vieira's in either the short or long term. But I think it's notable that Torrent reached this milestone rather quickly after being rather far back.
For completeness, Kreis had a 1.088 PPG in 34 games and NYCFC is 71-51-41 for 1.558 PPG overall.
