No real direct NYCFC connection here, but today's England v. Slovenia match was far more entertaining than I expected.

Slovenia defended well for most of the match and was sharp on the counterattack which led to them going up 1-0 at the half. But in the second half England got their attack together with Wilshire getting a brace (the first of which came off of Lallana going down questionably in the box and possibly handling the ball, but the second goal was a beautiful team effort) and Rooney netting the game-winner.

Good stuff.

Yeah. Wilshere scored two absolute belters. Worth mentioning that he'd never scored for England before. Not a bad way to start your scoring record.
