They call us a feeder club.I was looking for that as well. If they're having one, I'd love to attend.

To be fair I never saw an actual statement on that myself. But more than one Melbourne fan has come here and said they were told it was to be a 10 game stint. I did see a news story that characterized his loan deal as being for a maximum of 10 games. It's possible then that
I guess it's just another CFG "error."
- the club marketing department went too far and said he'd be there for 10 games in ads even though the 10 game was a limit, not a guarantee
- the club carefully worded its ads to play up the 10 game max deal while leaving the impression it was a definite 10 game deal
- the club was completely honest and fans just read loosely and assumed a 10-game commitment when none was even implied
Melbourne City FC can today announce that New York City FC-s inaugural player and Spanish World Cup winner David Villa will join the Club for a period of the Hyundai A-League 2014-15 season.
Kreis finally comments on Frank rod.

Sounds like it wasn't his choice but he will deal with it. Disappointing that we didn't get anything in return for the deal, which any other club extending a loan would have gotten. basically being a good employee
After reading this, I wish he'd never commented at all.Kreis finally comments on Frank rod.

MaybeGuys, we may be at the wrong place if our fucking coach is all about the "family".”
I MEAN, WHAT IS JASON GOING TO SAY? FUCK CFG FUCK EVERYONE? IM PRETTY SURE HE'D RATHER FOCUS ON THE GUYS WHO ARE THERE AND MOVE ON FROM DISTRACTIIONS. HE DOESNT CARE IF FRANK IS THERE OR NOT, IT'S NOT LIKE HIM MAKING A SCENE IS GOING TO CHANGE A THING. IF ANYTHING, IT MAKES IT EVEN MORE OF A PR SHITSHOW AND I THINK HE'D RATHER NOT FAN THE FIRE. IT SUCKS BUT ITS UNDERSTANDABLE. AS FOR FRANK, I'M NOT CONVINCED BUT WHAT'S DONE IS DONE.
AND I'M NOT YELLING, THIS IS HOW I TALK.
As I said before, the decision was made by our parent company and it was a decision that was made for the best of the entire group, so we support the decision and we move on,” Kreis said. “Through myself and [sporting director Claudio Reyna], it was a decision that was made by the entire group. We have to provide our opinion by what we think and what we want, but we also support the decision. It’s all one group.
poor guy didn't have a say in the whole thing.we have to provide our opinion by what we think and what we want, but we also support the decision
That's why he should have kept quiet, IMO.Washing his hands of guilt and rightly so.
poor guy didn't have a say in the whole thing.
detailed Lampard interview, I don't know that I 100% believe everything he says but it's better than the earlier Facebook statement http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/public/sport/article4319252.ece#
So you signed for . . . ? “New York,” he says. Not New York with a view to signing for City? “No. It was 100 per cent New York. I had sat down with Ferran and it was all about New York. There was no mention of Man City. If they had wanted to speak to me on behalf of Man City, with New York in the pipeline beyond that, they could have done that, because I was a free agent, but that was never the question at all.
So how did Lampard’s pre-contract agreement with New York, which was due to run from January 1, end up superseded by a deal to join City? “This is one of the reasons why I wanted to do this interview, because I’ve heard and seen people say it must have been all contrived that I would join Man City,” he says. “It wasn’t. It was 100 per cent New York. But while all this discussion was going on about the next five or six months, Man City were in town for a pre-season game. I spoke with Manuel Pellegrini and he said he wanted me to come for the first half of the season — simple as that.”
“That is what has frustrated me, that people were sort of saying to me, ‘You knew what you were doing.’ I never would have done that. If I had wanted to come to Man City, then I would stand up and come to Man City. That wouldn’t have been a problem. And in terms of Man City being ‘sneaky’, they could have signed me on a free anyway if that’s what they and I had wanted to do. People mention Financial Fair Play, but what difference would that have made? No difference. It would have been a slippery move, a dodgy move, for nothing. The fact is I signed with New York, then I signed for Man City in the interim and now it has been extended.”
“What I want to say to the New York people is that, yes, my start is going to be delayed by two or three months,” he says. “But when I get there, I’m going to give everything, as I’ve given at Man City, as I’ve given at Chelsea before. I want to win. I’ve seen Stevie say the same, how much he wants to win medals there. He’s like me, I think. We’re both driven. We don’t go somewhere to put our feet up and relax. No matter what we’ve achieved in the past, we will always want more. I will certainly give that to New York.
Funny how he gets attributed with all sorts of negative stuff, but it's always misunderstandings and nonsense and lies. Poor SOB must have the worst luck in the world. Seems he spends an awful lot of time explaining himself and clearing his name. It's got to be tough.
And I feel like I should post this here again.
