Really interesting. They didn't expand on this theory as much as the rest, but having John/Aegon's Targ/Stark heir come South with a wilding army to claim the North and then further South with the Northern army and the Wildling army to take the Six Kingdoms is 100% in line with the history of Westeros as it's been written.

Yeah. There are just so many issues and ways for this to go wrong.
I should have mentioned when I posted it that I have a passing knowledge of Polish history so I immediately thought on Sunday night that electing a king with family ties to the most powerful house outside the kingdom was never going to end well. I'm happy to see someone with much more knowledge than I do write it up.

Well that's depressing.

Of course, one thing this doesn't take into account is the effect omniscience has on a ruler's success. I suspect that could take Bran the Broken quite a long way.

Sort mentioned this a few episodes back but it still boggles my mind how people can watch the same thing and come to such different conclusions on Sansa. I'm happy for her ending and think she'd become one of the most intelligent and moral characters on the show and will rule the North as justly as is possible in a true monarchy and I have just as much respect/affection for her as her siblings. Talked to a good friend earlier and he thinks she's a manipulative power hungry bitch and from what I see online opinion seems to be pretty split between the two extremes.

I've been thinking about Sansa since the show ended. I think in a way she caved and took the easy road, deciding to be queen where she holds absolute power and is still well loved and respected. She got that, but then didn't take it further despite having made it all the way the final council. But I didn't think she feels cheated at all, just comfortable. In a way, I think she ended up not being as tough or as scheming as I thought she was, perhaps just settling into the easier path of being the uncontested ruler.

Easier path or most desired path? Isn't queen of the north the thing she would ultimately want the most? Both from the standpoint of being where she wants to be and caring for the people/land she really cares about.

I'm wondering if they will set up some type of non-inherited monarchy. Outright democracy would be ridiculous in this universe at this stage, but I could see the king or queen choosing a successor with the small council with a provision that it cannot be the monarch's offspring, or something like that.

I was searching the forums for something completely else than this but OMG I damn near nailed a key part of the ending to GoT back in 2017 and didn't even remember.
