Home game vs Houston being moved to Hartford, CT

Get over it snowflakes.

It's one game (against a pretty anonymous opponent in Houston anyway) that is being moved. Yankee Stadium probably would have been half empty anyway from our usual crowds.

I'm surprised this hasn't happened more often considering we share with a team that had a busy summer schedule like the Yankees.

No wonder the rest of the league can't stand us -- one game being moved and our fans are insufferable crybabies.
The only thing I really want is an explanation of why Hartford. How many 20k+ venues are closer than Hartford?
Not to mention, P&W Stadium is actually closer to Gillette Stadium than it is Yankee Stadium. That's kind of crazy.
Hopefully Hartford is not the permanent backup venue, and other closer venues just were not ready to host this.

That's ripe from a newbie to call others snowflakes. Everybody has their reason to be pissed off and knowing we have a fellow fan calling us insufferable crybabies is laughable. Dipshit comes to mind to describe you.

Who knows what backroom things went on that prevented the club from playing at a closer venue. As fans we will never know.

My point though is that this is a one off thing. We have been at Yankee Stadium for three seasons now and this is the first time this is happening. That is a pretty good track record IMO.

Also if the club is providing free transportation be grateful.

It's not like you are a Giants or Jets season ticket holder and the game is being moved to London.

They aren't providing free transportation. Also just a heads up that was awfully brave to call us snowflakes on your first post. Earn your place.

How many 20k+ venues are closer, available and preferred by the sporting department?
I know, but I want to hear the club explain it. Basically I want to hear them say that this was not their first choice, but rescheduling/closer venues were not available for one reason or another. I don't want to think that anytime the Yankees have a conflict, we just run to Hartford without trying to create a better solution.

Dude, I am a Jets fan and the highlight of this "disaster to be" season would be a game in London!!!!!

I'm not a snowflake. I'm a PAYING CUSTOMER. A season ticket holder. And a founding member of this club. And my season tickets aren't that expensive, but that's not the point, and others on here pay FAR MORE than I do on their tickets. Treating fans/customers like this is garbage.

The fact is, it's NOT a one off thing. ... No stadium to start with - come on have patience guys. Lampard isn't actually on your team, sorry - come on, it's a one off thing, trust us, it won't happen again. 7-0 - come on, it's a one time thing. Relative SILENCE on stadium plans 3 years into playing and 5 years into clubs existence - it's just one thing, don't sweat it. Moving one of the few Saturday home games of the entire season to ANOTHER FREAKING STATE - come on guys, it's a one off thing.

ARE YOU &*$#ing kidding me calling us snowflakes?!!?

And as far as fans in the rest of the league... I know plenty of them. They're fine and most of the time just poking fun. They'd have a lot more respect for us as fellow fans (of soccer and of MLS) if we showed some gumption and stood up to our club, instead of just falling in line (that's real plastic, IMO).

Not to mention the failed transfer window. Sometimes I think the club is taking fans for granted. Other times, I just think it's incompetence. In this case, I think it's both.

Well Well Well ! If this ain't the shit Ya'll !!!! Kinda makes the recent beating I took well worth it !! You see this stadium Is My Neighborhood 3 blocks away Haters !!!! Oh and Please let me Inform you people it's not Hartford !..... It's Rentschler Field in East Hartford ! I can and do walk to this stadium every weekday to catch the bus for work . The bus stops right out side . We'll see how this all goes down . Anyone here going will know me when they see me . So let the chips fall I'm not afraid for what ever comes my way !! ......But Joseph Bianco your ass better be there for back up !

I know I am in the VAST minority on this but I am loving this, I am a UCONN student so it is a chance for me to bring a bunch of people to an NYCFC game, UCONN already has a really strong NYCFC fan base such that we plan regular trips to the games in NYC, Pratt and Whitney Stadium is a really nice stadium and the tickets are going to be a lot cheaper than at Yankee stadium, I also like the Dynamo so that's going to be a fun game for me to go to. Also, the tailgating is actually awesome here so if people put in the effort it can be an amazing quasi-home game. I do feel for everyone though and hope you can make it to the game, I may get to meet some of you there and have a good time watching the game.

There were some pretty stupid hot takes in this thread but you win.
There are some stupid dumb twunts in our front office.

Shit all over the transfer window without doing dick. Let old fuck stay around for god knows why. Cap it all off with Lubeless buttfuck of your own fans . Right in the middle of a playoff push and the twilight of Villa's powers.

We don't deserve to win shit. That much is certain.

Just got home and the kid to bed. Lifelong Yankee fan here. Was at the Bronx zoo with a ton of kids when I got the email. Wow did I have to control myself to keep from screaming some bad words and looking like a maniac in public. And I was wearing my favorite Yankee hat that has been all over the world with me. I seriously almost left it in the trash. I'm not sure if the Yankees ever considered that partnering with NYCFC would cost them part of their fan base, but gosh darn it they've pretty much lost me at this point. Hope judge turns into the next Kevin Mass. I'm not sure what I'll do with my NYCFC tickets at this point, probably nothing because I'm a sucker who still loves this club. But you'll never see me buy anything but a beverage at the stadium (and only because they don't let me bring those in) ever again.

There's plenty of reasons to be upset about this, but by far the most upsetting is the impact this could have on our SS chances. First PV comes out and all but hands it to the team 4 points above us (wtf?) with 9 games left, and now we sacrifice a home game. We've lost ONE home game this season. It does matter. Colossal fuck up here.
