This seems to be a virtually ideal hire for this role on paper. Hopefully he works out well, but it does not hurt to get a well connected guy in the organization. With Tom Glick overseeing commercial activities in his new role, can we assume that is essentially running the stadium search?
Interesting hire. Guy has done a great job building an entertainment brand and organization. He's well connected in the city. Seems like he has good connections at ESPN and with the Dolans. All of this can help the club a great deal. He doesn't have a particular soccer or sports background, so one assumes his role will have nothing to do with improving the product on the field.
R roxfontaine, you should reach out to this guy right away.

Yeah, this seems like the kind of guy you'd think they were looking for. This seems to be a virtually ideal hire for this role on paper. He's the son of Alan Patricof who was the founder of Apax Partners.
yep - Glick was interim & never planned to stick around. This new guy is technically only the 2nd real Pres for NYCFC, and many pundits are forgetting that a lot of time was spent doing team president stuff before the first season kicked off, so this is not a case of 3 pres in 1 season as it's being spun....Interesting hire.
Reviewing the leadership that has come and gone, it makes me question my initial thoughts on Pernetti leaving.
It seems like Glick was just filling in until they could find a permanent replacement.
