It helped that LAFC’s supporters (a combination of 6 or so groups) was perfectly synced with every chant, and knew exactly what to sing and when. The two main groups here are often singing different chants at the same time which results in, well, you know.

As to the amount, a lot of the said they were just excited to come to NY for the first time.

There was smoke used during their march over to YS. I personally don’t have a problem with it but I wonder if anyone from our side said anything about that regarding permitted items, etc.

Many people noted (in our Shoutbox, twitter, and Reddit) that the LAFC Away supporters were very loud and even louder than our guys. I did think that our supporters did not sound loud, but wondered if something affected the acoustics and the way the sound carried. There were a couple of times I looked over to our supporters and they were singing, and bouncing and drumming and I could barely hear them including the drums. The drum noise shouldn't vary that much.
I'm not sure I can draw a conclusion except to say maybe our guys weren't weak but physics did them in. Maybe.

We were in section 133, so not too far from our supporters section and remember thinking the same thing through most of the game. There were only a few times we overtook them.

you are wrong lol.

just kidding, hopefully, that's what happens I won't be mad at all!!
beer bet?
Beer bet -- maybe not that Sands plays every minute but that he is a starter at the WC.

Considering Juan Pablo Torres was called into the U-20 Camp, its really safe to assume that Sands is at NYCFC because Claudio and Tab decided that is the best place for him the next week and not because JPT is rated higher than Sands. I think James spot in the starting 11 at the WC is not in doubt, just whether he plays Mid or D
I hope he’s not at CB.

Mckenzie and Richards are both way better suited to that role.

That said, he would be a fine option to slot in for one of them.
You can be confrontational. These are the defenders called into camp.

Sergino Dest (Ajax/NED; Almere-Stad, Netherlands; 6/1), Chris Gloster (Hannover 96/GER; South Orange, N.J.; 9/0), Aboubacar Keita (Columbus Crew SC; Columbus, Ohio; 0/0), Jaylin Lindsey (Sporting Kansas City; Charlotte, N.C.; 5/0), Matthew Real (Philadelphia Union; Drexel Hill, Pa.; 8/0), Chris Richards (Bayern Munich/GER; Hoover, Ala.; 6/0)

I can give Dest, Gloster and Richards a pass for not being able to break into their first teams, but no way do the MLS players rate higher. Anybody can watch tape and see what James is doing against Vela and Rooney (in 2018 and 2019).

My theory is that Claudio wanted Sands available during the playoffs rather than have him play U20 qualifying. He anchored the U17 team and I expect him to play every minute of the U20 WC at either CB or a 6.

I am wrong a lot, but that's my thinking. You wont piss me off if you tell me I am wrong.
I would love to tell you you’re right and for you to be right. But Tab has a history with this sort of thing. And his past actions do not support your thinking. See Exhibit 1: McKennie, Weston.

I am thinking Sands is out for u20 WC, if for no other reason than I don’t remember the last camp he was called into and Tab is weird.

I'm finally watching the condensed version and WOW, we had 7-8 very good chances in this game. And no one can stay in front of Mitri. I didn't think he had that quick a first 10-15 yards in him, but holy crap.
And he has a very quick release. Forgive me for making a comparison to another sport, but his ability to get that shot off so quick reminds me of Steph Curry's quick release. (want to be clear that I'm not comparing the two of them in terms of overall talent level)

Thought you were in too much pain to watch the match?

I was watching the replay in super slow motion. I really don't know how Blessing "falls" in that position based on "contact" from Sweat.

And it was never mentioned on Instant Replay.

My back is doing much better now!
