Melbourne Heart/city

I hate aggressive moderation but it's getting to a point where I'm going to CTRL+F:MCFC every thread that doesn't include MCFC in the title and just remove posts. The reason MCFC gets so much flak here is because it feels like every thread is hijacked by MCFC fans that say no one likes MCFC fans.

If anyone feels like a thread is being hijacked, report it to one of us as it violates our TOS. We've removed discussions for far less than the hate being spewed here.

Why deservedly? Seems like you can suck the dick of the rags, scousers, arse, etc and it's no problem but god forbid anyone is MCFC. Funny considering NYCFC is going to be run exactly in the City way. Who signed villa? Ferran Soriano, CEO of MCFC.

Funnily he´s also the CEO of NYCFC we might add.. You remember how Ferran was invisible when he started working in September?
I can tell you where he was, he was in New York actually.

To start with, CTID & first post on here! but I am also very interested to follow the progress NYCFC will achieve and the time scale it takes for you to become the major force in MLS you undoubtably will be.I wont be getting up at silly o'clock to watch games but I will look for the results when they roll in & I am quite sure there will be some interchange between players amongst all the teams in the family of CFG.Nobody can deny thishas to be the most exciting global prospect in football(sorry guys never soccer :) Lets sit bac and enjoy the ride.

Absolutely, the way Khaldoon described how CFG aim to create a new platform for the game made my mind spin with possibilities

Look, come here, talk about NYCFC and all is good.
Talk about any other club and yes you might get shit for it. Whether it's United, Liverpool, etc.
we have a Warzone forum that's for shit like this. Keep this discussion out of the NYCFC forums.
There's a thread in there about this where everyone can go and blow their top.
You only think EVERYONE here dislikes MCFC because you tell yourself that. I think a good part of 30% of us are MCFC fans as well but we are well past this childish viewpoint of like our club, respect our club and so on. Who gives a shit? Why should we as fans care so much? When we win the title we shouldnt expect our sister club in NYC to throw a parade too out of 'respect'. Come on people.
Before we hashed out all this crap when we first got going we had people coming and then leaving because they felt as if they had to be a city fan to stay here because they got shit the minute they said they supported another club "well that makes no sense why would you support something run by city if you like Liverpool" and we got past that up until yesterday and honest to god if I need to start warning and banning people for continuously hijacking threads about this same damn topic I will.
Go to the Warzone section and have at it. This is the last thread that turns into this stupid, meaningless discussion. YOU CANT MAKE SOMEONE LIKE OR RESPECT YOUR CLUB. IF THATS WHAT YOU NEED TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOUR STANCE THEN YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR OWN LOYALTY.
Ummmmmm.....this is the warzone section.

Ummmmmm.....this is the warzone section.

It wasn't when he posted that. Dan was forced to move it here because the conversation kept on in the same manner.

At any rate, as you observed this thread is now in the warzone, so as long as there's no personal attacks, please feel free to rant about the topic at hand.

I guess it's some sort of suppressed teen crush or something, but when I hear Melbourne City I have to think of MelC...

Here's the thing guys, y'all may be passionate about NYCFC but it doesn't compare to the passion from MCFC fans.

Now before you go all mental with that sentence, just stop and listen. Those that come here from MCFC and question things do so from having experienced humiliation and laughter. They come here having to stand up loud and proud knowing that those around them were (footballing-wise) better. They have come here experiencing the worst of the worst, witnessing the club tear itself apart, watching the club on the brink of implosion and out of existence. We have lived through hell you couldn't possibly understand, and are now experiencing highs you are now only a part of.

If you realise that, and keep it in mind, you will understand how deep that passion runs. This is not to make an excuse (there are knobheads following every club, not that I am calling anyone here a knobhead), but that is the passion you are against - should you wish to go against it. If you do, you will lose and there will be all out war.

That said, those who do bring that passion here need to remind themselves that this is new territory, and these local NYCFC fans do have something to shout and be proud of. We are all in this together. Never forget that.

I usually don't understand why you get so much flak, but now I do. You talk in circles. You know nothing about being an NYCFC supporter. Bring your passion somewhere else. We don't want it or need it. You people are half the reason we're the most hated club in MLS before the ball even drops. So don't tell us about what passion means.

So I explain to give you some background. Lambast our own fans, and you come back with that? Oh dear ...

A) I'm more passionate that you arguments are dumb. They just are. Please stop. Both of you.
B) Telling someone "we don't like your fandom" is an even worse idea. Can we work on like attracting fans? I'd like to see Yankee Stadium full of fans rather than empty with a few "true" fans

Mike, people hate this club. There will be no attracting anyone if it's Manchester City all the time with these guys. I root for Manchester City. I cheered when Aguero scored that goal. I hate Manchester United WAY more than I like anyone else in the league. The problem stems from the MCFC fans on these boards. Not MCFC itself.

LOL, the MCFC supporters here in NYC that are part of the supporters group and will actively support this club? Yeah...we're the problem. LOL.

I attribute most of the flameups on this forum to the fact that we don't much to talk about. MCFC is an easy issue to get fired up about whereas the rest of what we can talk about is:

David Villa is awesome.
Kreis is awesome
Our front office is awesome
Our jerseys will be awesome
Where will the stadium be?
What songs can we sing?

Much will change when we can talk about why on earth did Kreis put player x in that formation, how did the ref miss that obvious PK, etc.
