We couldn’t be happier to have Mix coming to play in New York. He’s one of the brightest young talents in U.S. soccer and will be a fantastic addition to our club and to MLS

Mix is a dynamic midfielder who will easily fit into the style we want to play here in New York City. He keeps possession well and gets everyone involved with his passing range."

I’m sure he will help me to develop my game, to succeed with our team here in New York and to stay involved with the national team. Coming to play for New York City FC was an easy decision for me.

Well that gives us a little insight. Seems like the other players like him. So lockeroom cancer can be taken out of the equation when coming up with theories. This whole situation is all so confusing. I think I need to re-watch Lilyhammer. Maybe there's an answer to all this in there somewhere...

I'm done Mixdebating, but this isn't necessarily true. His social media feed changed dramatically over the last year as far as buddy shots and off-the-field hanging. Maybe Khiry, Mikey and the young guys were just too immature for him. Or maybe he was spending his time more wisely with his GF. But his socializing with teammates seemed to significantly wane this season. It doesn't necessarily mean there is something to it, but similarly his relationships with EJ and Pirlo aren't necessarily informative either.

I persoanlly prefer to mixdebate by myself before I go to bed. I don't think we'll ever know the answer till 2 years from now when he pens his book he knows we'll all jump on. My big debate is am I now anticipating the release of The Winds of Winter or Mix's tell all about his time at NYCFC? Maybe that question belongs in the book thread.

Saw that too. I think we had heard he was on a 4 year deal, but I forget where. NYCFCfan could probably tell you.

I don't recall tbh, it was either three or four years depending on who you asked. I'm not sure if that fourth year is an option year though.
