He's been tweeting so much about CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers...very odd.
I think he is motivating himself, seems to be pulling a Kapernick.

You can't say the "MIX" logo on his hat is not awesome.

If that is the plan it changes most of the lineups that have been suggested. That could give us:Klinmsman keeps playing Mix as a DM. Have to figure Kreis will pair him with Pirlo deep in midfield
Mix isn't great defending I rather have him going forwardIf that is the plan it changes most of the lineups that have been suggested. That could give us:

---Calle----------Lampard------------Poku---
------------Pirlo---------------Mix--------------
Angelino----Tefu-------Facey------Iraola
Wow. I like that. Mix provides defensive cover for both Pirlo and Poku. Sub in Shelton for Poku if conditioning is a concern late in the game. I like this lineup. Counting down the days.
This also allows Kreis to play the lineup he will play in August now while Mix is away at Gold Cup. Just put AJ in that slot. Then when Mix comes back you have a clear upgrade.

True. But this gives so much flexibility. He can go forward as the game dictates. But he can also provide cover of need be. Much more fluidity than with AJ back there.Mix isn't great defending I rather have him going forward
Agree with this assessment but with slightly more emphasis on me yelling at the screen, "Stop passing backwards!!!"I saw the first half and thought Mix was . . . ok. Looked a little unsure of himself defensively but did well to put himself in position act as an outlet for passes. He had a couple of nice forward passes that led to good chances but many more short passes backwards. Also picked up a yellow. He didn't light up he field like he did in the last couple of USMNT games but certainly didn't embarass himself.
