MLS Cup Playoffs - November 23 - Philadelphia (Away)

If anyone still wants to go tomorrow, they are not sold out. There are still some tickets available, but they're all a few sections away from the away supporters.

Seems like we've got more coverage in the Post in the past few days than we have in years.
And articles with bylines and not wire services, no less!

We call this the Playoff Effect.

The real question is whether we can get regular coverage every week during the season.

I heard a couple “go Man City” and “go city.”
Rather odd time to say this but I’m just over our kit, our manufactured copy cat “city” culture and especially our ownership. It’s no secret I never liked them but I’m at my limit of compromise. I remember the excuses for that first MC Junior kit. A decade later and the jersey is still being confused for another team. The worst thing is it’s on purpose.
The only things really keeping me from being over the club are this forum and looking forward to experience the stadium.
For the eleventy seventh time I hate how MLS completely mishandled the ownership of both NY teams and effectively made the same mistake twice with foreign private equity sports conglomerates.

Beat the Union? Go pigeons!
/weak enthusiasm.

I’m not sure what this says about my principles, but all the City baggage and cookie-cutter branding would be a lot easier to swallow if CFG were actually throwing its weight around with the roster. If we looked more like LAFC or Miami instead of this mid-tier, value-engine, farm-team version of NYCFC, I doubt people would complain nearly as much.

I like Nico, but listening to Sims talk in an interview as if convincing a player from the Spanish second division to sign was some kind of recruiting coup is downright laughable when other MLS teams are landing players like Son and Messi.

Vancouver, LAFC and Miami are all 2 levels better than us. Cincinnati probably 1 level, 2 at their best. I’m not sure about SD or Minnesota yet. Any given night we can beat them, but not most nights. Credit to Pascal and the boys for winning as much as they have. But they’re not at this level.

The Union have a massive height advantage, corners and free kicks around the box are going to be dangerous.

It's do or die now. We'll get oniel back if we advance but this is it. If we win the cup it will be with this team.

As long as the boys give it their all, I'll be satisfied no matter what happens but man oh man... How good would it feel to squash union hopes and dreams..
