So much anticipation for this game that there are zero posts two days out. Yay.

kinda was discussed in the season discussion thread. rotation or not, etc.

nashville don't look as good as prior seasons but if we fall asleep, they will definitely punish us. they aren't eliminated yet, so they will be playing for a playoff spot.

Honestly, when I heard what I'd have to pay to be next to the bench at the new stadium, I've lost most to all interest in the club. They don't care about me and my support for the past decade plus, why should I care about them anymore?

Modern sports in a nutshell.

Orders of magnitude higher?

From one person looking at a list: 4.58x...Another person saying an anecdotal quote: 11.1x.

I pay $9.1k right now for one seat; I have two seats. You do the math.

WHAT THE ABSOLUTE FUCK. THIS IS MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER.

Also, they say they're getting rid of Founding Member pricing. It's literally publicly stated that "All Founding Members will have preferred full season ticket pricing for the life of their account and priority access to seat selection in future seasons." That's a class action lawsuit waiting to happen for the 1,800 founding members accounts with many thousand seats.

They can’t get rid of the Founding Member discount. Maybe a miscommunication? Besides the legality it would just be dumb because they are not committed to a specific discount. So if they want to be jerks but stay legal drop it to a tiny reduction and keep the promise if barely.

But those prices. Ooof.

Miscommunication? Nope. But hopefully they realize they need to switch policy.

One person: Everyone will pay the same price that comes in at 2027. Thereafter, there will be different pricing.

Another person: I don’t know anything about that (founding member discount for life of the account).

Yeah, the prices are dumb at those amounts.

Make some noise now about this before they actually go on sale. Because then, it’s harder for them to change anything. Email your rep, call your rep. Email the head of ticketing. Email Sims. Let everyone know they can’t do this to loyal fans of the club.

that's crazy. but yeah, now is the time to raise a stink. the club must be crazy to want to jack up prices like that. sure, seats will be popular but prices like that will only scare away the true fans who bleed blue but simply can't afford it.

That's just brutal. Meanwhile, in the Bundesliga:

The most expensive season tickets in the Bundesliga can be found at Borussia Dortmund (€860 or €50.59 per game), RB Leipzig (€924 or €54.35 per game) and – again – Cologne (€978 or €57.53 per game).

Those are last season's numbers per DW, but I know this year is only marginally different (not even marginally higher across the board -- some prices have come down a little).

Gotta love the 50+1 Rule.

That's the crazy thing. The cost of entertainment in this country is out of control and would never happen in Europe. The culture that allows these kinds of prices needs to change here. It's untenable.

It hurts my soul to hear the pricing change. Where did you get that info from? I’m currently in champions club level seats (I have a teenage son and it’s the only way I can afford to feed him at a game) and now I’m worried about what that’ll look like in the new stadium. Do you think my boss will accept that as a reason to give me a raise:

Hey Boss,

I’ve been crunching some numbers, and it turns out that my NYCFC season tickets are getting more expensive. Naturally, the only solution here is a raise to offset these rising costs. I mean, how can I focus at work without knowing my finances are secure enough to support my team… both at the office and on the field? Just think of it as an investment in employee morale!

Let’s make this a win-win—what do you say?

I just found out the game is tomorrow when I went looking for the lineups.

Why is the game tomorrow?

they changed this back in august when the told us it was gonna be at RBA.
I also forgot about this and was looking forward to watching the game tonight. haha.
