MLS - September 24 - Miami (CF)

Gameday Weather and Transit Report, brought to you by Autocarrot Wants Gameday To Be Two Words™

Weather: possible rain
Temps in the low 70s with an increasing chance of rain as the match goes on, possibly even heavy rain. Maybe.

Transit: normal-ish
7 train running mostly normally with some stops between 74th and Citi Field possibly being skipped at times.

Seeing Mix there reminds me: in one of the segments the Season Pass talking heads did about the upcoming derby they ask BWP and Klejstan who they hated from our lineup. BWP says Callens. SK says Mix, not for anything he did, but because he always got called to the USMNT ahead of him. But the cherry on top is that when SK was with Anderlecht and NYCFC got announced he was so eager to play for us that he had his agent cold call the club, but they told him, nah, thanks, we are going after Mix. Only after that did SK sign with the Red Bulls. His dream was to play for NYCFC. It was pretty much a confession. Mix was his arch-nemesis, and he is pretty sure he was the better player, which I agree. It was pretty much a soap opera.

I saw this. It’s great.

I had to leave after 3-0. We got sliced apart by some through balls. That miss by Fernández Mercau was an all-timer.

It's my fault. I refused to photo some plastic Messi fans before the game. Told them to support their local team.

On to the next game.

I will gladly sell my tickets to the home match next year. What a miserable event to go to as an nycfc fan, the crowd was insufferable. I’ll take the $250 and move on.

could be. not sure why else he would come off so early. we have to remember he had knee surgery not that long ago.
Just doesn’t make sense that they didn’t go like for like. I know he can/has played back there, but a bit bizarre to do it against Miami. Maybe Raul can’t communicate with the teammates? The human red card Tana would have been more logical

I would have enjoyed a straight red card more than the penalty.

At the end of the match, some kid in an Argentina Messi, top asked me to take his picture with the scoreboard. I told him it didn’t mean much and he very sincerely said he was just glad to have a chance to see Messi for the first time. I was lucky enough to see MSN at Barca in full flower in 2015. So I don’t really begrudge these guys.

We had three very very clear changes and none went in, was one of those nights.

Pascal tried a tactical shift at the end and it just didn't work.

Really annoying just how many people are cheering Miami on and not just Messi lol. Felt like a Miami home game at times.

enjoy it while they can. hopefully when we have our stadium there will be a lot less plastic fans and only true away supporters.

I don’t think I begrudge them, and that’s fantastic for that kid but it still makes it a less fun event in my view! But that’s just me!

It’s not the kids that are the problem. It’s the full grown adults who act like entitled misbehaved children that are the problem…

We looked good in the first half and lost in the second. I turned it off once the penalty was called. On to the next.
