Skimmed through the DVR of it this morning. Even knowing that the score ended 2-0, and there was only 1 minute left, I thought Portland was going to blow that breakaway at the end with Robles 50 yards out of goal.
I try not to trash PRO referees and even sometimes defend them as not measurably worse than other soccer refs, but their failure to adjust to the well-documented reality that Felipe is a repeated cheating dirty flopper is inexcusable. Given the reality that a ref cannot see everything, they have to make calls, in part, based on a player's history. When you see a guy like Felipe fall down and you're not sure why you cannot just assume he was pushed as you would with an honest player.
I don't know how I forgot to mention that the match official was Allen Chapman. He should note that Felipe's a dirty cheater in his book underneath "Immediately discipline Herrera without warning him."
He's #2 on the reasons to dislike RBNJ. Slightly edging Klejstan and BWP, who are followed by a kid who will become the worst of all of them if he doesn't get out of there soon.
I found it really on ETR this week that they made a massive effort to talk about Red Bull. Apparently, they've gotten complaints over the lack of discussion. Wiebe kowtowed to the pressure and offered a 60 second soliloquy full of false platitudes of praise.
It went so far that I have to believe he intentionally trolled the hell out of them or else lost his damn mind.
I also thought the red was a bit soft. We have 3 incidents per week worse than that.
I really don't like Chapman.
It's definitely (1) Marsch and (2) Felipe for me, which I think is the same as yours, but I don't share the hate for BWP and SK. If they were on a different team I wouldn't mind them so much. The thing I hate most about BWP is how much he scores against us and I can't really consider that a personal failing on his part.

I haven't noticed the trend for SK but it's possible it's real and I've just not noticed. I agree that play should have been a red but I expect there will be no further action. It was already reviewed in game (I think) and I doubt they will suspend based on a second review, butAdams.

I tweeted my comment about PRO refs and Felipe and he blocked me. I'm pretty sure he's the only professional athlete to have done so.
It was his 5th yellow, but he has gotten the reduction, so I think for suspension purposes he has 4 yellows. He isn't listed in the disciplinary summary for those who will be suspended on the next yellow.
Same way Villa is listed as having 4 yellows, but has gotten 1 reduced, so has 3 essentially
Piatti and Valeri both making claims to challenge Villa for MVP. Hopefully he stays hot and/or they don't stay this consistent through the end of the season
Chicago's back line is so beaten up they played Schweinsteiger almost as an extra CB in the first half. Now he's moved up. Dax back there instead but he's also coming forward more.

The first Toronto goal was offside. Shot was taken and a Toronto player is off but doesn't affect the shot - keeper blocks shot and rebound drops to the feet of the player that was originally offsides and he taps it in. Should have been nullified as the player would have needed to check back to regain onside status.

Yes. A few weeks ago, it seemed like Chicago and Toronto were going to battle for first, and we were holding on for dear life to keep 3rd. Now, it's a reasonable question whether Atlanta and NJ can catch Chicago. I'm hoping not. I like the thought of those two teams in the opening round and the winner getting Toronto.
This is a little depressing because it's largely justified:
