Two midweek games on Wednesday night, including Montreal hosting Orlando. Montreal is 7 points back with 2 games in hand, so this is where they pick up one of those two games.

Interesting weekend games include Montreal at Philly and Colorado at Dallas - both on Saturday - and DC at NJ on Sunday at 1pm.

I believe Acosta is out against the RB for yellow card accumulation which is bad news.

I'm expecting big things from Patty Mullins
Considering he's now running on the field and showing real effort, he could actually light up the RB central defense. He's way more technical than either of their CBs.

Indeed, since they have no replacement who is even close.

Think Grella and Muyl are suspended for RB, so it will probably be an interesting look at how new signing Royer fits in during a full 90 and whether Veron can seize his chance.

Montreal doing a nice job of getting hammered at home and meaningfully reducing the already slim percentage that we end up without home playoff game by slipping to 5th. They look dreadful against Orlando and, frankly, have been pretty mediocre all year after a hot start.

Montréal had a nice thing going a few weeks ago, and I really thought they were going to be a top challenger in conference. Now they have 4 points in their last 5 games and you have to wonder if DC could make up the 5 points needed to put them below the line. How this could happen to a team with Drogba, Piatti and Ciman is a mystery.

I do think the DOGSO call was wrong. The touch before the foul had the ball going sharply away from goal, and I don't think it is "obvious" the player could have recovered the ball and put it on frame before a defender recovered to challenge.

We need a tie tonight between LA/RSL. It would give us the higher ranking in the combined table due to tie breakers

Brutal after the quick DROGBA LEGEND goal in the 1st minute, too

The way LA is bunkering, this may end up 1-0. Pretty brutal game. Aside from the pretty pass and goal, the only highlight is a Chris Wingert header that went wide.

The Orlando win and LA-RSL tie were the results I was rooting for.

Now we are in the driver's seat for a CCL spot, or if COL beats DAL Saturday, still in the hunt for the Supporters Shield.

I never thought I would care about Western Conference games in September.

Lets take care of business against NE and hope for CHI, POR, DC and ORL wins over the weekend

The best part about Montreal's loss to Orlando as well as Philly's loss to Chicago over the weekend, is both of those teams have games remaining against Toronto and NJRB (Philly home and away with NJ and @Toronto and Montreal @NJ and home against Toronto).

With these latest losses, hopefully Montreal and Philly can win these games against NJ and Toronto as they now have to pick up more points themselves to bridge the gap. Hopefully Montreal and Philly draw this weekend.

The other best part about the Orlando result is that it puts the 6 seed that much more out of reach for NE -- down 2 and 4 points to teams who have a game in hand on the Revs.

Their entire season will be a success despite their record if NE can get the US Open Cup win Wednesday. Hopefully we can get an early goal Saturday to encourage the Revs to focus on that game and not ours.

Good catch. Hopefully, they are focused on that other game before the whistle and put out a bunch of subs.

Great results to root for as well. Only thing is we are not entirely in the driver seat just yet as Toronto has a game in hand.

I was waiting for answer like that. They might as well forfeit the rest of the games right.....
I wouldn't mind that.... but no, they're still dangerous, however I like everybody else's chances against them without their mercurial striker knocking in multiple goals a game.

Toronto cant beat us out for a CCL spot -- they have the edge for the Eastern Conference title as of today, though, with a healthy Altidore and Bradley in good form.
