MLS Week 27

I wouldn't mind that.... but no, they're still dangerous, however I like everybody else's chances against them without their mercurial striker knocking in multiple goals a game.
Hopefully

The thing about Toronto is that Gio is only supposed to miss 3 games, and then they get to finish with 3 of their last 4 at home.

Toronto cant beat us out for a CCL spot -- they have the edge for the Eastern Conference title as of today, though, with a healthy Altidore and Bradley in good form.
As to CL, they apparently actually could depending on west table results. There's a thread somewhere where I asked the same question.

Yeah. It's a tricky thing. Sabo is correct in that they can't actually take the CL spot instead of us. However, if we finish 2nd in the east to Toronto, we don't automatically get the CL spot either. It's allocated based on SS standings, minus any teams that already qualified. That's why we all have to root for Dallas in the USOC. It makes it that much easier for us to qualify for CL without winning the east. And if the season ended today (before matches played) and Dallas won the USOC we would qualify, even if Toronto was counted ahead of us for arguments sake.

Without Acosta, DC's chances of beating the Red Bulls is bleak. But come on Patty Mullins! Score that hat trick!

Sam is definitely a sleeper agent. screwed up a break away to start the half and made the pass to RB to set up BWP's goal.

Well, thanks to DC's ridiculous comeback from 2 down, the first time in Red Bull Arena that the Red Bulls haven't won after leading by 2 at any point in the match, we're level with the Red Bulls on points but behind them on goal differential. So, we're in 3rd right now.

That largely negates the advantage they had over us by having an extra home game coming into this weekend. Good race over the next five matches. A glimmer of sunshine at the end of a frustrating weekend.
