Perhaps there has been some discussion here that I missed, but I haven't seen anybody mention these seats and so I thought I would share my experience from yesterday's match.

I brought a guest to the game who is a big sports fan, and attends 20+ Yankees games a year, but is new to soccer. He had a great time and is now thinking of getting season tickets for next year (mission accomplished). Somewhat to my amusement, however, he was more excited by his discovery that many areas of the stadium that are very exclusive for Yankees games are either open to the public, or available at vastly more affordable prices for NYCFC games than he was by anything on the field.

In particular he was happy to discover that Mohegan sun seats were open to the public and we ended up watching the second half from there.

The view is fantastic because you are both close to the field and relatively high, but unfortunately the windows block out nearly all of the sound from the stadium which is a tremendous loss. I felt so removed from the game that it was almost like watching the game on TV with the sound off. Many people here commented that the atmosphere from Mix's goal to the end of the game was great but you wouldn't have known from where we were sitting.

We both appreciated the air conditioning, food service (though the menu is vastly reduced compared to yankees games) and alcohol served right up until the end of the match, but I probably wouldn't sit there again unless it was boiling hot out or raining - and of course it would probably be terribly crowded if that was the case. As it was there were few enough people that we could have sat in the front row had we felt like it.

Thanks for sharing the experience. I'll probably envy this setup when it's pouring, but this seems contrary to the whole purpose of being at the game.

When you say Mohegan Sun Club is open to the public to do mean that anyone with a ticket to the match can go into the Club or the Club tickets are open to the public to purchase?
