So who has some favorite tattoo shops or artists in the city? I currently have a staten island ferry with skyline in an american traditional style by kike castillo (Columbian born nyc trained artist now living and doing some of the only good ink in baltimore) who is occasionally at Timmy pinz and needles in Huntington.

I also have a leg piece done by Deno (https://instagram.com/denotattoo/) that was done at King's avenue tattoo (http://www.kingsavenuetattoo.com/) at their Bowery location. Great shop - I will be getting some more work by deno this summer hopefully and will totally go to that shop again for more. Other than that my work was done by non-nyc artists.

Not sure about committing to an nycfc tattoo just yet. Having nothing to do with not wanting the monogram, or the team not being good enough, just that there are other tattoos ahead of it on the waiting list.

I've gone to different artists for all my pieces (6 in total), most recently Red Rocket http://redrockettattoo.com/ for the 'NYC'. It's actually light blue with dark blue fading from top and bottom, but the pic is B&W.

Nice - I've heard great things about redrocket but have not been ... I have a serious cash vs. tattoo problem - in that I only want big expensive tattoos ... lot's of them ... all the time.
