Another interesting tidbit I saw on reddit. Andrew Carleton played DA games for Atlanta. Seems like age is the only that matters. This means that we can sign players to the First Team and still play them for Academy games. Seems like a good loophole before we have a USL team set up.

Not sure if mentioned already but schedules were out for Academy. Maybe nycfc needs to have their own Academy twitter to keep track of all teams

Idk what happened to me when I was 14. I still get stickers when I go to Walmart cuz they think I'm fucking 12.

Not exactly about our academy (k - not at all), but it happened in one of the games of the Concacaf tourney to a teammate of Gio's. CONCACAF needs to stop being so CONCACAF-y. I think this is from the kid's mom.

No, they have other academy players in as well. They have been coming since it's summer and no school. That will likely end when the academic year starts.
I wonder how these kids to get practice though?
If he's not signing a professional contract somewhere next summer, I'll be quite surprised. Fingers crossed he signs with us, gets his feet wet, then plays a full year in 2019 before we sell him for $10 million to the mothership or elsewhere in Europe.
He turns 16 in November 2018. I think the kid is too young to sign a professional contract.
