NYCFC Players Wanted Thread

hey, we are getting these players soon (at least some of them): Rooney, Zalatan, David Luis and maybe even Mario Gotze (if Guardiola stays in Munich I think Mario will be gone soon) in the next few years. And after next world cup, Messi and Ronaldo will be available too. The retirement house of legends will be at full display in NY :)

Let's just get the Barcelona top three. But even if we can get them all, I don't think that would do us much good since they won't get any possession.

We should be looking at American players like Lleget who could be better than avg MLS talent but didn't quite work out abroad. I don't think LAG are paying him that much.

In similar thinking, Rebecca Lowe (NBC's Premier League host) mentioned in an interview with on the Dan Patrick show that if MLS clubs would pickup the 18-22 year olds in England that are cut by their clubs/academies and brought over to the states, that would improve the MLS academies and teams down the line since they would bring up the overall level of play. Bonus, since these players are young, they can get green cards, maybe even citizenship and if they pan out they can be national team players.

These kids may not be good enough for Man United, but I bet they're good enough for Dallas.

Hi All, De Gea can be had if ManU and Real Madrid do not handle it correctly. We have got sort out the goalkeeper situaion. A $8m salary, $35m transfer fee can do it. If CFG is willing to chip in 50%, NYCFC issues debt for 25% and we fans can chip in the remaining 25%,which is about $11m. Assuming 20k fans are willing to donate, that's $550 per person.

So, I'll probably not be the first to mention Ronaldo, but he just bought a loft in the Trump Tower. 2018 isn't that far away....
Word?
