I thought that Giroud was brought up not as a serious target acquisition but as a type of player to go after (target forward)Are we really talking about Olivier fucking Giroud? Jesus Christ...

Two things:
1. What if Torres was here on a one year DP deal? Would people hate it that much?
2. Agudelo is a striker who is miscast as a RW. Taking a flyer on him to play *as a striker* with Villa would be interesting. In any case - one year left on contract. He could be bought down with TAM, right?
3. No way Ha-Mes is coming here.
One final thing, Love Khedira but for the love of god get another goal scorer. Villa deserves that.
Hell I'd take Torres on three years if that's what it would take. If we can get him for only one year only better. Two things:

Two is the sweet spot. He and Villa can retire together after the 2019 season.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯Remind me: Are all MLS contracts with optional years team-options or player-options, or can they do both?

Yes.It's Major League Soccer. No one knows.
Fernando Torres New Yorks #9?
Origi might be out just a little too high caliber of a player for the MLS right now, 22 and scoring in the Bundesliga, with interest from Wolfsburg to sign him long term. The kid is going to be a good goal scorer would like Theo he could be an asset next to Villa. What do you think it would cost to get a guy like Divock Origi or Theo Walcott?
There was a rumor last summer that Walcott had entertained an MLS offer but nothing came of it. I have no clue what his contract situation is.

LFC probably looking between 13-17 to turn a nice profit on a young striker, who knows if he keeps his form he might get a little pricey by the end of his loan. Theo is having a tough time getting into squad regularly so maybe a nice splash of cash could lure Arsenal to sell him for south of 20 mil. The numbers are all BS just based on players of that caliber being sold.
That's the problem with EPL players, especially the English ones. Their costs are inflated because you need them in UCL.
How about Shane Long?
