Very much agree with this. I think the NYCFC model is to spend a lot of the money on most of the players and get cheap players especially MCFC Academy loanees at 50K-60K a piece to fill out the rest.

Angelino was 60k but Facey was actually 120k.

I've mentioned Ruiz before. He was out of contract last summer but signed an extension I believe. With TAM, that is exactly the type of player to target.

They both would be earning $120k for a full season Angelino only played half a season hence his $60k. I assume all of the loanees will be at this amount.

Perhaps, but I wanted to point out the possibility.

The article (or perhaps the one I read in the Manchester Evening), mentions CFG bought another A-League player and loaned him out to Bolton of the English Championship. So it's not necessarily a done deal that Caceres stays in the A-League.

Would be the greatest signing MLS ever had. Better than Giovinco x2. That said, I can't see it yet at just 23. He has a lot more to prove in Europe as he was one of the most promising Italians before his injuries.
