Well, the upside is no fans waiting by his car to abuse him, no coins being thrown at him during home matches, and no toilet-papering of his home. May be worth the pay cut!

Pirlo plays the first half of the year, then retires from club soccer / mutually agrees to terminate his contract when he goes to play in the Euros on May 31.

Anyone know what Ventura Alvarado is on at America? He's not starting and was left out of the 18 last match after a rough beginning to the campaign. Transfermarkt says he's worth 1.5 mm, but I would bet he's on close to the same as Wingert. If we got some of that fancy new allocation money...

He's certainly MLS quality but he's sucked for the USMNT.

Yeah he has plenty of time to grow though. Whenever I have watched him I have seen a lot of talent but way too many mental lapses. Him and Mena at CB would be really good MLS combo if you give them time to gel.

I would sign him. Great upside. Far superior to ever CB we have now.

Maybe recruit some players playing in Copa Libertadores. Either from Mexico, Ecuador, or Colombia...heck Argentina and Brasil if we can afford it. That way stadiums are packed. They are cheaper than recruiting from Europe and maybe we can use the CFG card. We can say if you play with us well maybe you will go on loan to MCF and could prob head to Europe. Maybe we aim to become a Porto or Ajax for a while until we dominate the sport.

He's certainly MLS quality but he's sucked for the USMNT.

He's sucked due to poor instruction. Oh wait...

But really, he's a great utility back man, and his skill on the ball is excellent. He needs a vet to play next to rather than a 20 year old (and I love John Brooks skill set. Spectacular. Every tool to be among the best in the world there.).

He's also fast as hell. And even in the nats his emergency defending has been pretty damn good. So he doesn't mark on set pieces. Neither does any of the rst of the team, so our marginal loss is zilch.

I disagree hate is the path to righteousness
