Dumping Medina for a Falcao creates a new $300k+ cap hit.
To cover that you can dump one of Sweat or Matarrita. Both provide more than $200k of cap relief. Matarrita provides cap relief and TAM relief. That would be the obvious choice.
Matarrita also allows you to go out and get a TAM LB this summer. Fuchs? Baines? Probably not. But someone.

Way too tired for maths today, but Falcao would be pro-rated, so a lot depends on how we structure things. The Galaxy were able to get zlatan on XAM last season, so the possibilities are endless.
