A great winning start!! Enjoyed the game and a lot of positives for Kries.

Poku looks a real talent and I though Connor Brandt looked good as well. Of course Villa was good, as was Grabavoy, Taylor and Velasquez.

A very good start fro the team

Will be going straight from work. Should be a good test for them against St. Mirren.

It's all about game time and getting to know each other, but a win will be nice as well.

Lol well I was trying to put faces to names for quite a while. Had a team sheet to help me.

They played the ball around well and showed plenty of good skill. Looked more dangerous in the second half, which was good as they changed practically the whole team in the 2nd half.

Nemec is huge....I was on the opposite side from the players tunnel in the first half and walked around there at half time, saw him changing and he is a very big unit. Seemed to lack a bit of pace so I can see him playing up the middle and trying to bring people into the game.

Villa looked very classy on the ball.

There was a lot of good battling by the defence. Didn't get a good look at the defence in the first half because of where I was sitting, but they seemed to make a good few blocks.....second half I saw more and Martinez looked assured on the ball and defending. Had a good look at Connor Brandt and he worked down the left really well.

So a good run out for the squad.
 
Why were people crying about being called "city"... We are New York city... Lots of teams r called city... It's not like Melbourne where if they r called city it makes no sense
 
I might be a bit slow about the news so excuse my ignorance but is Pablo Alvarez a NYCFC player? I saw him wearing the jersey at today's game but he is not listed anywhere on the roster. Please advise.

He was on trial, along with Shay Facey, Fran Martinez, Connor Brandt and Andre Rawls (who didn't get any minutes).
 
No problem with us being called city. If you live around here, it's referred to as "the city"
