It's us, Toronto, Atlanta, and then everyone else.

You don’t think we are okay with Ced and Sweat? I’m okay with that if Ced is 90% of our starters.I am pretty excited about this one. This was a big missing piece for us - maybe the biggest.
Now we just need depth at CB.
Yeah, I think we should be fine with Ced and Sweat (and Sands could play there if absolutely needed), as long as Ced's injury isn't serious (which doesn't sound like it is).You don’t think we are okay with Ced and Sweat? I’m okay with that if Ced is 90% of our starters.
My only major annoyance now is we didn’t spend our DP slot on someone who can play all across the front, bed into the team this year as a starter at wing or am and be the long term replacement for Villa.
(Eta: Tons of those players around, right?)

Medina has looked very raw in the few glimpses we have seen so far. If the season starts with him coming off the bench because he's more of a prospect than an immediate impact player that's another total waste of a DP spot by the front office.
I would like to see what his salary is, but there is probably a good chance that we could use his DP slot next year on someone else. Not sure what our cap situation is like, but I think it’s a bit of a reach to say it’ll be a waste of a DP if he comes off the bench starting the season. As a young DP, we have extra flexibility to purchase players such as Ofori. I think a combination of immediate impact DPs and investment in youth/sell high in the future are great uses of DP spots, assuming the young players pan out.

DP Passengers make us all crazy.
I also wish I had some insight into whether or not we’ve dipped into the discretionary TAM pool. If not, it adds even more scrutiny to the Medina DP signing.
Was surprised while listening to SITC this morning how unexcited they are for this signing. I get having some reservations about a guy who has barely played in the past 6 months, but they seem to forget, or didn't know, that NYCFC tried to sign him before. The worst part was John Rojas saying he would rather have Mikey Lopez because at least he doesn't take up an international slot.
I hope Rojas hasn’t seen him play much because I trust his opinion on players more than any of the other guys. The worst part was John Rojas saying he would rather have Mikey Lopez because at least he doesn't take up an international slot.
