You might be able to pull the double dip. NYCFC vs. Orlando starts at 2:30 would end by 5 at the latest. 90 minute Acela ride to Philadelphia. 7:30 Gold Cup final starts. You miss a few minutes of the start of the Gold Cup, but wouldn't that be an awesome soccer day.
There was a GB team as the games were in this country ,there won't be another.the big fear is if we had a team GB football governing body wouldn't let the individual countries compete.
Just for information there is little to no interest in the English national team over here amongst the average fan
If I do it I will almost certainly drive. 2.5 hours should be enough to get from YS to Philly, and if I'm a little late I'm a little late. This just might work if you leave the NYCFC game early in the 2nd half. There is a 5pm Acela to Philly that gets in at 6:10. 30-minute ride at most to the Linc with a little traffic. The only problem is that it's $100 for a 1-way ticket.
I'll be at the Linc with my son (assuming USA is in the final), so if you manage to pull this off, first round is on me!
I think the second half showed why Pirlo/Lamps are so important. Composure on the ball. It was nowhere in that half, save for Poku doing his one man band routine.
You are so right about Poku looking for a pass and his teammates standing around in a coma.I really don't agree but then I do on Poku because at the same time everytime he had the ball he had no one to pass it too. They were either sleeping or just couldn't get opened plus Villa had like 2/3 players on him all match.
And Robbie Keane better than all of them. Crafty old Irish bastard that he is.I kind of want to fly to LA for the Galaxy match later this summer. Gerrard, Lampard, Pirlo and Villa all on the same pitch? Pretty rad.
They had Petke on the half-time show and he and Twellman were of the opinion that mid-season DP's are not effective and it's unsafe to put your eggs in their basket.
Oh and Petke's accent sounds like a caricature of a Long Islander, it's almost funny.
Iraola and Angelino will have more of an impact than Lampard will. And probably Pirlo.Well, that game killed any doubts I had about upsetting a team that found their winning ways... Still fuming about it
But luckily it seems that CFG is on the ball and have acted to strenghten the team regardless of the costs/finally started to get things done.
Iraola and an extra CB will be in many ways as important as any input from Pirlo or Lampard I think.
I've been saying it that Iraola will have the biggest impact on this team. He immediately is the best defender in the league.Iraola and Angelino will have more of an impact than Lampard will. And probably Pirlo.
We got absolutely killed on the wings. Upgrades at left and right back should help there.
Doesn't apply to us. All the players we have coming in are instant upgrades over what we have. Just have to worry about the chemistry, took us awhile to build it and I hope the new guys can get settled in quicklyThey had Petke on the half-time show and he and Twellman were of the opinion that mid-season DP's are not effective and it's unsafe to put your eggs in their basket.

The club is killing me by showing Pirlo at the stadium twice already yet no announcement but the crowd made sure they heard what they wanted tonight.
You sure on that? I'm positive the screen they showed with Lampard and the dates showed Iraola, and not Pirlo. They did announce it. They said something to the effect of "...Andrea Pirlo and Frank Lamapard who will be joining the club on July 12th vs. Toronto FC."
