Looks like rumors are about to start flying for this club.

But it is looking like Lamps is almost a done deal.

Pirlo In NYC.

looks like he is on vacation; but fun to speculate

I've not seen any rumours so no reason to believe there is any connection with NYCFC...

But he would be an immense signing. Having Lampard beside a good, young, and quick American defensive midfielder, with Pirlo in a free central role, and Villa making cutting runs in to the box... I've just had impure thoughts.

If there is an older player to bring to MLS he would be the one I would most want aside from Xavi.

So anyone hearing anything about Asamoah Gyan coming?

No, but he does play for a club in UAE controlled by two close brothers to Mansour... I mean really close, not some half brother or something.

For the love of God! Pablo Aimar is still playing? hahahaha
How's Andres D'Alessandro doing? I remember that Argentina team from the 2001 youth World Cup I think with him , Aimar, Saviola and Gago if I remember correctly. They all fell off. Gago is still good enough to make this years squad.

If we go for a player who is in the middle eastern leagues then I'd go for Nilmar or Nene or lisandro lopez.

Can you believe Cambiasso is younger than Aimar? I always thought he was old as fuck. It's the bald head.

And the fact that he has been playing at a fairly highly level for the same club since The Great War.

Fernando Gago is only 28 yrs old. So, he would have been appx 15 in that tournament. He made his debut with Argentina's youth team in 2005 (age 20) so it wasn't him you are thinking of. It seems like he's been around a long time, but not quite that long.

BTW, this is Gago's first World Cup despite having 50 caps. Maradona left him off the 2010 squad.

You're right. Forgot he got to Madrid at 21. Seems like I've known about him forever. It's prob due to the fact that I hadn't heard from him in a while.

playing great! he is an idol for International fans. I don´t think he will even consider leaving Brazil, only if he returns to Argentina.
