That was delightful. Raise your hand if you knew Liverpool was going to score once the handball was called for and not given. It was inevitable, regardless of your POV. I think it probably is a handball under current rules. But it also looked like Silva whacked the ball with his arm into TAA's arm. Would have been a travesty if VAR went back to the possession switch, which is all it is allowed to do, wiped out the Liverpool goal and awards a PK to Man City, which they would have won due to another handball. Unless that PK decision allows a further review back?
Or maybe the VAR looked at the entire run of play regardless of what was allowed and used common sense to let everything stand.
Biggest what if to me is whether the officials rule differently in Manchester, both the original call and the review.
Regardless, extremely satisfying result. I have had limited opportunities to enjoy Man City tears in the last couple of years so it's always special to relish these moments.
