The team also looked a step slow once Reid got on in relation to him. It was like the previous hour of false 9 made them forget the runs a true striker makes. There were at least 2-3 times shortly after he came on where we turned the ball over and he was just itching to get in behind but our players spotted his run a beat late and either failed to make the pass or waited until he was offside. The team needs a starting #9 so that if/when Reid subs in they are used to a player running those lanes.Reid looked dangerous, and the attacking patterns changed immediately once we had a true #9 on the field.
