I thought the boron of choice was the Bronx. One of the things people wanted in the survey was 7 line and ferry. This would hit the top two choices.

The tract is not going to be for residential.
It's still on the schedule, 6 trains arriving in the morning, 5 leaving in the afternoon. There might be others but I only checked the ones to Jamaica Station. Not saying you're wrong, just going by the schedules.I think they are used only for freight. There was an accident further down the line in Maspeth last summer.

There does appear to be an awkward way to bypass this section by diverting the trains into the Sunnyside Yards. It's not inconceivable this could happen if only because the trains run very infrequently and slowly along this line.
If you lived along the areas it's going to serve, you'd love it. There's no way a subway can be added there due to the watertable. Add to that a total lack of transportation except for buses, and the trolley is a good idea.I happen to think the trolley is a terrible idea.
But a lot of people, and a lot of politicians - like the Mayor - love it. Stadium plans would help sell the trolley. So this could be a great way to get some political support for the stadium.
Totally agree. And I live in the area, too.If you lived along the areas it's going to serve, you'd love it. There's no way a subway can be added there due to the watertable. Add to that a total lack of transportation except for buses, and the trolley is a good idea.
too nice to give it to GAL.This could be a site where GAL Manufacturing could move to.
