Yes, it will be really tough getting some kind of atmosphere in YS
Well, at least this turned out to be less challenging than was thought.

Minnesota's new stadium could offer some clues... They are implementing "Translucent PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) building skin to protect fans from the elements."I wonder how they would highlight the view, while at the same time enclosing the stands for optimal viewing, protection from the elements and crowd noise...

That's pretty cool!
But on a side note about their stadium, the article says the club will finance the $150M stadium and after completion it becomes publicly owned by the municipality???? How much is the land worth and whatever tax breaks they're getting that the club is giving away its biggest physical asset? Can somebody with finance/Realestate knowledge explain why they'd gift this?
That's pretty tight. The Emirates also has pretty good window vibes.Minnesota's new stadium could offer some clues... They are implementing "Translucent PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) building skin to protect fans from the elements."

Let me know if I missed any. I thought I did ones for Sunnyside Yard and another one for Pier 40 but I can't seem to find those.

Etihad Garage - Name confirmed!!!
Have to wonder what would be more valuable to CFG. The iconic nature of the building if you took away that second tier of seating on that end to give a full view of the skyline? Or the extra couple thousand seats that tier would hold? Here is a rending of the inside of Minnesota's stadium, showing a bit of the translucent building skin they are going to do make. This "skin", or mesh is reported to have LED lighting.
The 34.5-acre site will feature a stadium exterior meant to reflect the energy of the Northern Lights by using a translucent tensile mesh fabric with LED lighting throughout to mix up the aesthetic “flow” of the building. The fabric mixes with Minnesota’s famed limestone and burnished block and glass to form the exterior design that lets light filter in and out, but keeps the elements at bay.

I am sure that conundrum is being worked on, if that location will be the one. A design can be achieved. The key is having one end of the stadium facing west, similar to how the Steeler's stadium is positioned.Have to wonder what would be more valuable to CFG. Wasn't that more about getting a feel on how much we are willing to pay for? I would think the location of the stadium would greatly impact how seating will be arranged.
I would like it if the Supporter Section would be facing the Skyline. They certainly deserve that view. Make that section high and large and lower the End Line to showcase the skyline. Also, I don't think this was ever done, so I superimposed the two halves of the proposed seating chart into one. Gives a clearer idea of what they are picturing in terms of seating arrangement for us fans.
