I agree politics should not be discussed in the soccer forums, however....the mayor will be involved in getting our stadium built regardless of how it comes. He will play a role at some point, maybe small, perhaps critical. Therefore, certain discussions about the mayor are relevant to this thread.

Are you fucking serious I rather the mayor keep working to make this city affordable for be not making over 300k a year, make it safe to not be white in this city, and have the people making the least amount of money paying paying the most good dam taxes. But hey a stadium is more important than all that shit /s. You really want to bring this shit up here knowing it a heated issue in the city and not everyone is going to fucking agree with you well then fine why the hell aren't the cops the kill the guy in Staten Island in jail. By the way we are god dam hypocrites for trying to talk politics here given who the owners are. So how about we move on before it gets really bad. If he says something that has to do with the stadium cool, he wont btw that will come form the city council not the mayors office only thing he can do is maybe help find a place for them. So I didn't see the speech but did see a couple articles and nothing about a stadium. Just affordable housing... NYCFC houses thousands of people who need a home. They also house youths in the city with the Academy? Bill please don't turn your back on the kids... give us a stadium.

I want an underwater stadium. It would be really cool to watch a soccer game from the bottom of the East River, and look up and watch the boats go by. It would have the most unique view of the Brooklyn Bridge too! Of course, we would need to clean up the pollution to make the water clearer, but I'm sure the Sheik can afford it!
