“The next station is, Mets, NYCFC, Willets Point. Connection is available to the AirTrain to LaGuardia”. Hmm, work in progress.

I can only tell you what I've heard and I'll say it's not from a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy.
Someone asked this person why NYCFC isn't considering going big and building a 40k seat stadium. That person replied that it'll probably be closer to 30k than 40k, but will be built with the ability to expand if the demand is there in the future.
Now that could be 26k or 28k. I'm not saying it's exactly 30k and I'm sure plans can change.
But to Jon point, it may not be a change of plans. He said that response was to a question about why isn't NYCFC going big. The answer it will be closer to 30k than 40k could still mean its at 25kWasn't disagreeing. Just saying it's interesting that they are changing their plans. I wonder why? Could it be location related?

Would be absolutely hysterical if it was true considering the history of Jon joining the board and becoming a season ticket member.Hiding in plain sight.

Also, that his info about the stadium would be coming from someone else.

as long as they keep the prices reasonable.... but if they go smaller while jacking up the prices, then it's kinda mootPart of the reason they said they want to keep the stadiums smaller is for season ticket holders. Biggest complaint they get is that there isn't a secondary market to sell into. You'll see changes with which sections are available at Yankee stadium this year and that thinking will carry over into a stadium we call home one day
West Ham's stadium isn't a SSS -- it was built for the Olympics so the need for a full track pushed the stands away from the center, where the pitch now lies.Regarding the stadium potentially being 26-30k, I'm hoping it'll be modeled as the seating being tight against the pitch as opposed to, for example, West Ham's. The closeness would add so much spirit and life..!
I think he was talking about the current stadium:I think he meant Upton Park
