I think it's funny this article comes out the same time the team is confirming STH info to mail out their STH packages. "Hey STH look here we are doing something don't cancel your tickets." . Do you think the Kraft's lent NYCFC their playbook how to handle season ticket holders without stadium news.
Eh, this would have come before the opt out deadline.

btw, you guys do realize if CFG builds us this stadium, we ain't ever breaking from CFG and then we're stuck, right?

Most likely, but not necessarily. DCU and Orlando sold minor and majority shares shortly before or after their stadiums opened. I'm very confident that there will be no shortage of super rich dudes looking for a trophy in NYC, but seeing as that is probably 75% of the motivation driving money into CFG, I doubt his highness will want to part with it.

Ever since the Queensboro situation came up, I always felt like the only sensible outcome was one where the stadium was dual use for both teams, or just a stadium for NYCFC. If it's a 25,000 seat stadium, have to think it's for NYCFC. It just doesn't make sense otherwise.

FCC drew 30k in USL. Maybe they build it with an eventual push for MLS in mind.

Cincinnati doesn't have a big-league team in its city. There's a big difference between minor-league sports in NYC and minor-league sports in Cincinnati.

There is no way they're building a 25,000 seat stadium without it being for us. That's completely impractical. Also, David Villa's not screwing NYCFC like that. I could see the teams sharing the stadium, but if they do end up with this stadium, it's impossible to believe NYCFC wouldn't be at least a tenant.

CFG does what’s best for CFG. DV will do what’s best for DV. And we should all do what’s best for us. No one in my previous three sentences deserves any loyalty from the other.

This last part... if this stadium is built for Queensboro you'd have to at least think we would try to be a tenant if it holds 25k. No reason for us not to be. The club would get shit for not having their own stadium like the Jets got for years, but it would be better then the shit they'd get for playing in a baseball stadium. Unless of course Queensboro doesn't want us to build their own brand....
