So if CFG has been in NYC for a month then hopefully CFG was at the last home game and saw the turf issues the stadium had and said to themselves "We are paying $750K -$1M per game so our players can injury themselves.".

More than likely they are trying to determine how to shed some expenses onto the NYCFC to help with the FFP.

The chances of that? ..I could actually see it being plausible.
1) Spending so much money per game on YS, plus the never-ending search for a stadium
2) It could be that they see no future advances in the stadium and see imminent losses approaching, so they want to pull out asap

HOWEVER
1) They have invested so much, they wouldn't just leave it all behind
2) They've been expanding their football group, and by closing shop would remove their grasp on the CONCACAF market.

Yeah, he’s calmed it down recently because of writing about DCU so much. I think his tongue in cheek tweets are similar to all of ours, as fellow supporters. I like him a lot, he’s very real which is a breath of fresh air

But does a top team in a top league with seemingly endless money need to own, operate and share scouting resources with a team in a certain region in order to have that link?
Also, does having a team in the Us help them with all of the region, or simply the New York metro area?

My point is, owning a team in the region is not going to convince any top young prospects from Texas, California, or Guadalajara to join with Manchester, being a top team in Europe will do that.

The St Louis bid for MLS has dropped some new stadium designs.

22,500 capacity, with the ability to expand to 25,000.

Its nice to see how MLS stadiums are looking more like football stadiums rather than high school (American) football stadiums

I could rant about how the field will be shit. I could rant about how the Yankees are letting a Red Sox owned team play in their stadium. I could rant about how the Yankees are minority owners of NYCFC and are signaling they don't care about NYCFC competing at the best possible conditions.

But it would all amount to peanuts. We're not even second class citizens to the Yankees. We're third, maybe even fourth.
