They'll still sell it, just that it'll come in blue cups and they'll call it "Sky Blue Beer" or something.I just hope they don't sell Pinstripe beer in the new stadium.

Yankees own 20% of the Club. It is strongly in their interest for the Club to succeed and that value to go up.
Also - Mayor to be Adams is a very big fan of our plans in the South Bronx
He’s going to be a pro development mayor. Liberals are going to hate him.
It’s a tweet from 6 years ago when he was In the middle of his first term as Brooklyn Borough President and not running for mayor.i don't know brooklyn that well, but aren't brownsville and bedstuy highly residential? there really isn't anywhere to develop a stadium + additional stuff without displacing people out of their homes, which kinda defeats the purpose.

I think you’re right about those neighborhoods but I’ve no idea if theremight be any big open or industrial lots that could be appropriate.
The problem with Staten Island, and I think the main reason most people barely even consider it 'NYC' sometimes (Staten Island is always the butt of the NYC jokes because most new yorkers don't want it), is that Staten Island is highly HIGHLY inaccessible. There's no subway line, and the only two ways to get there areI know that Staten Island isn't the ideal place for a 30k soccer stadium, of course, but however it is NYC and not NJ...

Technically, there is a subway line... but fully understood in that it is only used for accessing other points of SI, no connections to Manhattan/Brooklyn.The problem with Staten Island, and I think the main reason most people barely even consider it 'NYC' sometimes (Staten Island is always the butt of the NYC jokes because most new yorkers don't want it), is that Staten Island is highly HIGHLY inaccessible. 1) Ferry
2) Car... Which, from the Verrazzano, Goethals, and Outerbridge Crossing are considerably inconvenient for most people, and traffic to wazzoo.
Basically, Staten Island would by far be the worst location in the city for a stadium, and I don't think many people would argue on that point. (this is barring the outer reaches of Queens where the subways don't reach, of course.)

In writing my reply i came across a super interesting article about that actually!side note, but i think in like the 1920' there were plans for the R train to extend into Staten island. I think some say the tunnel was actually started but not completed as the great depression happened and then plans abandoned after that.

It's pretty nuts how big the system may have gotten. Here's a guy who broke it all down as well and also made a modern map for it. https://www.vanshnookenraggen.com/_index/2021/01/ind-second-system-track-map/Hah. Yeah, I meant into other boroughs. It's just.... highly inconvenient.

Why is Staten Island the only borough not connected to NYC by subway? NYCurious | amNewYork
The "forgotten borough" was almost linked in the 1920s.www.amny.com
Crazier thing is that looks like it's just the IND lines. Doesn't even include the IRT or BMT lines in that. It's pretty nuts how big the system may have gotten. I wouldn't characterize "liberals" as anti-development. Although who knows what you mean by that word, it's a pretty broad, and loaded, word. He’s going to be a pro development mayor. Liberals are going to hate him.
