No kids listen to that shit. Believe meHow's about that Uptown Funk You Up song all the kids are listening to nowadays? I only suggest it because it's stuck in my head and now I have Stockholm syndrome
Fans of other clubs on twitter. And if its twitter, it has to be true.
How about Orange Crush by REM? It's a great anthem song to be sung by a group, plays on the color Orange (our real color), and even has a line about our conscience overseas.
Check it out:
I heard the Third Rail chanted "Where's Mike Petke?" at red bull fans at the superdraft. That had to hurt lol
I think this could work with new lyrics.
Only one team in new york...to the tune of guantanamera which everyone knows
New york City
OOO
new york city

we will kick yourrrrrrrr frigggan ass ssss
Porque no todo?"None of these make any mention of the team or NYC."
Putting aside whether the song is long/hard to remember, or it is deemed to be 'bad,' many other supporters' chants/songs make no mention of the team name, nor the name of the location the team plays in. I fail to see why it is a prerequisite for a song/chant to incorporate New York City/NYCFC in the lyrics for it to be acceptable. If it is catchy, fairly easy to remember, and gets the crowd going, that would seem to be a good recipe, especially for a new team.
