Nice jinx.Watch us win the U17 WC
OMG. Akinola had an awesome chance to put us through on top of the group at the end.
Nice jinx.
A couple of changes, but I'd say "starters".Jeez that’s a third game flameout. Wtf?!?
Anybody know if this was a rotated lineup or -all the true starters?
So now the question is whether they were tired at the end, like most US teams that rely too much on the top 13-14 for entire tournaments, or if they just got beaten because they weren’t as good?A couple of changes, but I'd say "starters".
Is losing to Colombia really a flameout?Jeez that’s a third game flameout. Wtf?!?

Generally poor tactics, poor subs, mis-use of players. So typcial US coaching is mostly at fault. So now the question is whether they were tired at the end, like most US teams that rely too much on the top 13-14 for entire tournaments, or if they just got beaten because they weren’t as good?
Soap box: The US program as a whole has an awful history of burning players out in cups while bringing guys they aren’t prepared to use.
I think going from the drivers seat for the 1st position in the group (only a tie was needed - where have we heard that before?) to needing a coin flip to determine either 2nd/3rd Place is a flameout. Is losing to Colombia really a flameout?

Not sure what that has to do with the situation since they didn’t lose to the best team in the group. So if they lost to the best team in the group in the first match, rather than the third, you'd be much more upbeat?
Colombia's reward for beating us is a knockout round match against Germany while we face Paraguay or Iran. (Update: Paraguay).
