My friend just got this from his professor. Thought it was too funny not to share
Not sure what’s taking the ManU Board of Directors so long to fire him, but they better get a move on it if they have any aspirations of advancing out of group play. Their current tactics will get them absolutely torn up against euro teams, and an early exit will hurt their bottom dollar with sponsors.Group H - Juve win and I'm going for Valencia over United unless Jose is fired soon
538 has Liverpool as favorites to top it. I slightly agree. But I don’t much care if they get go through as one or two. It just doesn’t matter that much when you’re one of the top 5-6 clubs.C looks the toughest, imo. B is mainly just Barca and Totts, maybe Inter if they can get something together.
C is PSG, Napoli, and Liverpool. I think Liverpool edge out Napoli solely because Napoli will try and focus on the Serie A this year again, and may not want to strain themselves across two major competitions. I also don't see Ancellotti working well against the press.
It would also be interesting if PSG fall into shambles and Napoli and Liverpool both make it out.

It’s kind of like the draw. All it changes is theoretical probabilities - and that assumes something farfetched, ie, that it isn’t fixed at every round.
The only team that's lost a game is Southampton. That's a tough 4 week stretch.
Napoli has Juve the same week as Liverpool and Roma the same week as PSG though so they both have tough schedules. Its gonna make for some exciting soccer.
Do both teams walk that or just the visitors?By the time Liverpool goes to Serbia, Red Star will probably be eliminated. Shaqiri never thought he'd have to walk through the tunnel or ever play in Serbia. The way they hate that man after the World Cup I wouldn't be shocked if he was attacked at some point. It's a very dangerous stadium. Their supporters are dangerous. If anyone hasn't seen what opponents have to walk through to get to the pitch, take a look...

I’m from Bosnia. I moved here when I was 8. My family are ‘Croats’. Prior to the split everyone identified by ethnic groups and they really still do. Especially when it comes to football. The locker rooms are outside the stadium. Stadium is built into ground. I believe there are two tunnels. The visitors tunnel the longest. Comes out right in front of ultras on purpose. From start to finish, like a 3 minute walk. My Serbian friends say bad things happen in those tunnels when there isn't a game.

The last time I visited was in 2006 I think. Croatia and Bosnia played in a friendly. The area we were from was mostly catholic and it’s very common to see Croatian flags hanging from peoples balconies and cars. A bus that was driving back from the game full of Croatians stopped at a gas station. A bunch of people got out and they assaulyef a car full of Bosnian supporters, got back in and went on their way. Unfortunately the majority of hooligans are nationalists and carry a lot of hate with them. If those were Serbs in the car it might have ended even worse.
You don’t see a lot of violence at football matches there but it’s not uncommon to find it outside.
Dinamo Zagreb played their champions league qualification match in an empty stadium. I didn’t check to see what for but if I was to guess racism or violence I probably wouldnt be far off.
I wouldn’t expect to see anything violent happen to shaqiri at the match. But he’ll probably get a lot of racist chants. Also the bus is likely to take a beating. The supporters really don’t care about the team or consequences. I’ve seen that first hand with what’s happened to Croatia over the years due to racism and nationalists trying to sabotage the team.
Most of us have moved on and tried to forget the war. However it’s still alive and well in the football community.
I’ll also add that I don’t agree with what he did. Football should be used to heal and unite. He used he platform to drive a wedge even further between the two. I don’t think any retaliation is justified but I wouldn’t be surprised if something does happen.
