Agree with your last sentence.I don't think any of the top 10 world teams would have a problem in CONCACAF countries. We can't keep making the same excuses.
But you're entirely wrong. They would severely struggle.

Woah. What in the world...you don't get the angst? He's. Not. The. Best. Right back. On. His. Own. Club.I get the unhappiness at the Bradley-Jones pairing, but not the angst about Arena picking Zusi. He is at best the 3rd choice at RB at the moment.
Based on what? I don't agree with it but I could understand someone saying "I think Zusi has the skills to be a decent RB based on what I've seen over the years so I'm okay with him getting a shot at it." But regardless of how you feel about him no one has seen enough of him at RB to flat out declare him our 3rd best choice. I'm honestly curious as to what information you're using to inform that statement.

I don't want to pile on but he should not even a top 6-7 option
Yedlin, Chandler, Lichaj are all natural RBs that should be ahead of him. I would also play guys like Cameron & Fabian Johnson out of position ahead of him. I would also consider calling up Keegan Rosenberry and Robbie Rogers over Zusi.
Gents, relax! I said "at best the third choice" - as in, there are at least two people (Yedlin and Chandler) clearly ahead of him and perhaps/probably others as well. The point being that he isn't going to play there unless there is a rash of injuries at the position, which should be very rare. Heck, he won't even be on the squad if we are fully healthy. Remember that our two top choices were out, Cameron DID start ahead of him, and Fabian was as available as Yedlin and Chandler.*
I'm finally getting to this thread today, and surprised to see so much conversation with only one mention of how shitty the field was so far.
That pitch was awful with the ball bouncing up all over the place. I noted at least one counter that Pulisic was leading that was thwarted by the pitch that I'm certain would have ended in at least a shot on goal.
Chandler IMHO should have gotten a callup. He was on a yellow card suspension but he could have played against Honduras.
In CONCACAF, if you don't play on a cricket pitch or a brown dirt field like we do against Cuba, its a win.
And if we ever build a stadium, that CR match would be ours.... [sigh...]https://www.si.com/planet-futbol/20...fying-orlando-city-stadium-red-bull-arena-hex
USA-Costa Rica, WCQ at Red Bull Arena
All 3 goals went between his legs. Brutal.Poor Brad Guzan, relegated twice in two seasons.
Yes, despite their terrible run this season, traditionally Wolfsburg is one of the Big Teams in the league, certainly bigger than Hertha.http://www.espnfc.com/story/3136706/wolfsburg-sign-us-international-john-brooks-from-hertha-berlin
Wan't sure whether to put this here or Bundesliga thread. At first glance it looks like a backwards step to a team that barely avoided relegation and well below where his current team finished but I do think Wolfsburg have much deeper pockets and larger ambition overall despite their crap season this year.
Whatever happened to Diego? China?Yes, despite their terrible run this season, traditionally Wolfsburg is one of the Big Teams in the league, certainly bigger than Hertha.
