In a nutshell it looked like he really enjoyed being able to finally play the ball "up"!!! He was all over the field and was heavily involved. A very good showing I thought on an absolutely sub par pitch.I didn't get a chance to watch the game, can anyone give a recap on how mix played?
Mix played extremely well, in my opinion - he was creating space and making plays - was quite the aggressive work horse, as well - very happy with his performanceI didn't get a chance to watch the game, can anyone give a recap on how mix played?

I wonder if the experimentation with the lineup is now over as we head toward summer. Klinsmann will certainly play his Best XI at the Gold Cup, and we only have two friendlies before then, at Germany and at the Netherlands in early June. My guess is that Klinsmann will want to bring his Best XI to those two friendlies as a warmup for the tournament.
So, what is your Best XI for the USMNT if those games started today? Here is mine.
. . . Altidore - Dempsey
. . . . . . . Bradley
. . F. Johnson - Bedoya
. . . . . . . . Jones
Shea - Besler - Gonzalez - Yedlin
. . . . . . . Guzan
Key subs would include: Johannson, Zusi, Nguyen, Mix, Beckerman, Brooks, Cameron, Rimondo. Certainly, Klinsmann likes to give roster spots to younger guys, so it seems likely that some of Ibarra, Green, Morris, Zardes, Shelton, Alvarado, Garza, Zelalem, Hyndman or Kitchen will make the team and/or supplant some of the veterans.
Klinsmann seems to want to transition away from Jones as a defensive midfielder, so it's possible we see Beckerman in that role, but he is only 18 months younger than Jones, so who knows. It's also possible we end up with Bradley shifting back and someone like Bedoya or Nguyen take the attacking role with the other or Mix on the right.
Shea has been playing well at LB, so I bet he gets the nod. Tim Chandler is another possibility or F. Johnson moving back. I don't know why Robbie Rogers hasn't gotten a look at that position since he is playing it well at LA (and was on the USMNT as a midfielder).
Klinsmann is now seems comfortable starting Yedlin at RB. The other option there would seem to be Cameron, or - again - bringing Fabian Johnson back from midfield.
I want to see Zelalem play first, if he impresses though he could very easily be on the GC roster.Great to see Gedion available.
The U-20 WC goes until June 20, so if we make a bit of a run, he won't be available for the friendlies, but I expect we will see him at the Gold Cup.
I don't think he deserves a shot on the Gold Cup roster. He hasn't played with the team yet and his introduction during an important tournament would be very good for team cohesion.I want to see Zelalem play first, if he impresses though he could very easily be on the GC roster.
He basically has incredible dribbling skills, probably better than anyone else in the pool right now. I'm not to sure about his style of play tbh, all I know is he is highly rated at Arsenal and Klinsmann said he could help the senior team right now.I don't think he deserves a shot on the Gold Cup roster. What's his style of play? I've never seen him in action.
