Totally agree with you, but this right here isn't saying much. Many, many others are better than Steffen at distribution.
Well, considering Berhalter's entire system is about playing out of the back, keeper distribution should be a priority. I don't think Johnson's shot stopping ability and decision making are that much worse than Steffen, at least in the last season. He's been pretty damn solid. In any event, he should be playing over Guzan.
Just hate seeing Johnson waste his time and OUR time when he's called up when we have games, especially important ones.

Maybe kept him on as youth director or sporting director or something. His strength was always player development and not coaching.
If we want to go back, we should have just kept with Bradley.

It's also been reported that they denied to release Ezequiel Barco for an Argentina U-23 pre-Olympics camp this month too. So it shouldn't be looked at as a reflection on their relationship with US Soccer, imo.

It’s a smart and prudent move on their part. If we had a coach, I’d expect the same from us for maximum prep time and chemistry creation. There’s zero reason to attend camp cupcake.
