Not to be a cockwombble but "these" sources and some of you Man City fans also said there was no way Lampard would get extended.(Not really you guys fault).

True a few fans are not going to sway a multimillion dollar team. I doubt that if he did go over to the UK (and that is a big IF) that he would stay over there past the date. It is different from Lampard as he is a NYCFC player and quite Frankly Frank wasn't apparently.

City will have a full squad before the MLS season finishes

As mentioned previous, MC don't have any spaces left for 'foreign' players in their squad. If the summer ends and they have fewer than 17 non-Brits over 21 on their roster then feel free to hit the panic button but I don't see it happening.
