Earlier this week Villa said he wants Iniesta to join him at NYCFC.
Iniesta's current contract expires in 2018.

He needs a few more years added to his contract in order to grow his hair out so it's appropriate for that headband he keeps wearing.
He will be 36 in 2018. How many years will he have left? Carrying the team like he has will take a toll on him. Better bring in Torres to replace Lampard just to be safe.

Think David Villa situation will go two ways, he will retire as a NYCFC player or for his last playing year he go home to play for his home town team Sporting Gijon, remember he had set up his own coaching school, he has said in numerous interviews in helping making soccer bigger in the USA and his kids will be able to get the best education in a place like New York
If his kids grow up in the US.... depending on how long they are here they will be in a position to get a green card/citizenship just like Harrison.... a Little Villa on the NT perhaps....
